To be creative by doing arts and crafts, to transform ideas into reality, has always given me a great satisfaction and it plays a very important role in my life. Over the past years I took advantage of various opportunities to take part in craft workshops such as pottery, basket making, painting with watercolours and working with natural materials. This has opened up a different world for me where I can relax and be myself.

Ulrike MuehleMy skills were further refined when I started working together with a professional felt maker in 1998. Helping her produce items to sell on craft fairs and giving workshops, taught me the art of wet felting and the endless variety of items you can create with sheep wool. We also exhibited our work in Germany and organised a group in Morocco for a big felting project, the result of which was shown in an exhibition in Pirna.

Besides my interest in crafts and art I have always had a passion for nature, which is why I did a degree in Ecology. During my studies I travelled and worked several months in various countries to get in touch with different cultures and to experience a life far away from your own day to day life. After finishing my degree I started travelling again, this time up to the north east of Scotland to work with the Whale and Dolphin Conservation Society in Spey Bay. Being fascinated by the beauty of the country and wildlife I decided to stay. Now I live here together with my little family and started my own business as a felt maker.
